Town of Tangier, Virginia otherwise known as Tangier Island. A small island in the Chesapeake Bay. We visited therre. I met the town sergeant. The department is a one man department. They use the help of the Virginia Marine Resources Commission. They do not have very many cars on the island since the only way to get there is by boat and the island itself is only about 2 miles long 1 mile wide. He said they were over budget one year...so they decided to buy the car and the PT Cruiser was the only type of car they could find that could move around the island comfortably.
